Heat Loss Assessment

We can accurately assess the heating demand for new and existing properties for use when specifying heating systems, particularly heat pumps. This ensures the heating system is correctly sized for the particular property. This is very important to ensure that a heat pump is operating as efficiently as possible.

We take into account a wide number of different influencing factors such as building shape and orientation, quantity and type of insulations, window and door performance, different types of heating systems and their efficiencies, heating controls, lighting, thermal mass of the building, air leakage rates, ventilations issues, hot water storage efficiencies together with different renewable technologies and their individual efficiency influences.

We use SAP and SBEM to calculate the information required including Total Fabric (and Ventilation) Heat Losses, Heat Loss Coefficient information, HLP etc.
